I think I'm going to stop posting pictures of video game characters. It was for an art challenge and it was fun while it lasted. I liked taking a character and seeing how warped I could make them with little to no planning and simple color in around 45 minutes. It was a good little artistic stretch for me. The attention whore in me says that I should continue to push them out because I was getting some good hits (for me anyways) for everyone one I posted. Especially the Birdo.
I'm difficult though and I don't want people to check out my gallery just for drawings of videogame characters. There's too many artists like that on the internet as it is. And while I don't think there's anything wrong with that, I'm not quite the gamer that I used to be and it would be pretty lame if I jumped in and dirtied the water with my crap. Besides, I'll just get bored with them anyways and the quality of the sketches will decrease as they already had with the Peppy/Falco/Slippy drawing. I mean did you see Falco's boot? It looked like I drew it with my butt. I didn't go back and finish it because I could have honestly cared less about how it looked.
A buddy of mine suggested I should take on Superheroes/Villains and see what I could do with them, but I feel like it would actually be more of the same with what I was doing. Only it would be more humanoid figures instead.
Okay, I think that's good enough of a journal entry. My last one was over a month old and I felt like a bad person for seeing my greeting entry still up.
